Restaurant Review: Ale Mary’s Royal Oak! (Vegan)

I have been dying to go and try Ale Mary’s new all Vegan Menu! They have Drinks, Wine, Appetizers, Burgers, Pasta, Tacos and even Dessert 🙂 So needless to say it was a Vegan paradise being given so many options to choose from! We started with the “Vegan Brussel Sprouts”, tossed in Pine Nuts and Olive Oil. So tasty and perfectly crisp.

A light way to balance out a heavy beer (I had the Sweet Potato Stout by Bells Brewery, amazing to say the least). Next we dug into our main dishes, Kenneth ordered their “Impossible Burger”, which in his opinion was fantastically prepared and an easy choice for any burger lover.

His very convincing burger contained a Vegan Burger, Vegan Bun, Veganaise, Slice Tomato, FYH Vegan Mozzarella, Lettuce, Arugula Pesto and Avocado! Honestly for a second we thought it was real beef! Of course we had to order a side of Truffle Fries that just like the rest of our food, did not disappoint 🙂

For my dish I couldn’t wait to order their “Vegan Mac & Cheese” which consisted of Chickpea Pasta, Vegan Cheese Sauce, Brussels, Asparagus, and Blistered Tomatoes! For all you non-cheese eaters out there, this dish is light and filling at the same time 🙂 You satiate that cheese craving without the sluggish big belly that you would get from normal cheese. Overall, when we go back we will definitely order these again, no questions asked.  So pop on into Ale Mary’s all you Vegans, you are no longer left to order from the boring “Sides Menu”! This place was made just for you 🙂
