From McMuffin to Homemade (Vegan)

Not many people know this but most bagels do not contain any animal products! That’s right, no eggs, no milk, just water, flour and yeast! So when you get a craving for an egg and sausage McMuffin give this one a go! It only takes approximately 5 minutes to make and will keep you full for hours! These are the ingredients you will need:

-1 sliced bagel (I suggest everything flavor!) (240 cal.)

-Everything Seasoning from Trader Joes (20 cal.)

-Half a Kielbasa of Tofurky Kielbasa  (13g Protein, 120cal.)

-½ of a small avocado, mashed (100 cal.)

-To help with a cheese craving you can always sprinkle a bit of nutritional yeast on top as well! (optional)


Start by toasting your bagel to your liking. Cut your Kielbasa up in small chunks and add them to your preheated cast iron pan sprayed with EVOO. Cook these pieces 1 minute each side or until golden brown, remove from heat. Slice small avocado in half, remove and mash. Spread half of the avocado onto your bagel, sprinkle with everything seasoning and add cooked sausage on top!

Your typical meal from McDonalds or Starbucks with run you about 500 cal. or more! So why not take 5 extra minutes before work to fill your body with something that will make you feel good and keep your wallet thick! Let me know what you think!
